Store Design | Digital Signage
Sobeys Flexible Format
A small cross functional team partnered with European design and shopfitting firm Schweitzer to develop the new-concept store that uses the “Flexstore” system. The modular concept features mobile fixtures that can easily be rearranged, allowing grocers to expand, reduce or make other adjustments to various departments as needed. The units, many of which are on wheels, attach to building services such as water and electricity using connections from the ceiling that are fed into the counters and fixtures.

Below you will find store department signage, pin tickets, wine tickets and price mechanics. But first some rules.
THE SUCCESS:
I led the internal and external creative teams in partnership with the store design team and Schweitzer to bring this new flexible store format to life. We defined textures, colors, fonts, wayfinding, photography, store fixtures, and designed department signage.We also successfully led and launched an in-store digital screen pilot in 16+ stores across Canada during the pandemic to enhance the customer experience and reduce printed material.
The new concept store is now being rolled our across Ontario and the Atlantic.

during the pandemic in 12 stores with 142 playlists, 275+ new
spots created and over 800 content updates
- Increased customer engagement and enhanced the
shopping experience
